Quick Start

Quick Start is intended to get your website up and running. You may want to refer to other sections of the help desk for more detailed explainations.

1. Logon to the ReadySet Website Builder

Enter your website name (domain name/URL) followed by "/manage" into the address bar of your browser (e.g: www.yoursite.com.au/manage). You will be presented with a logon dialog requesting your username and password.

2. Enter you business details

Click on the "Properties" tab. Enter the name of your business into the "Title" field.

Enter your address, phone number etc... into the "Contact Details" field.

Enter your email address into the "Email" field.

Click the "Save Changes" button to save your changes.

3. Upload your Logo

With the "Properties" tab selected, click on the "Browse..." button and select your logo using the "Choose file" dialog box. Website Builder accepts most image file types including GIF, JPG, BMP and PNG.

Click the "Save Changes" button to save your changes.

Tip: GIF is the preferred image format for logos.

4. Optimise your website for Search Engines

With the "Properties" tab selected, enter the keywords that relate to your business into the "Meta-Keywords" field. This helps search engines correctly categorise your website.

For example: if your business was retail sale of pluming supplies, you may choose "quality pluming supplies".

5. Choose your Skin

Select the "Skin" tab.

Click on a skin to modify the look and feel of your website.

Tip: Choose something that compliments your logo.

6. Setup your Navigation Menu

With the "Contents" tab selected, choose "WebMenuItem" from the drop down list on the right of the Contents window.

Enter the name of the menu item into the "Id" and "Title". The "Title" is what will be displayed on the Navigation Menu of your website.

Tip: Only use letters in the "Id" field. The WebMenuItem will not be saved if you use special characters like the "&" symbol.

Tip: Click the "Refresh" button to show new folders in the Explorer bar.

7. Enter your content

Each folder has a WebPage named "Default". Click on the "Default" WebPage and use the text editor to enter your content.
